The State Financial Officers Foundation team is closely monitoring the recent developments with COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus. At this point, we have made the decision to proceed with our Spring National meeting as planned. Please monitor this webpage for the latest information.


Registration for the 2020 Spring National Meeting is Now Open!


We look forward to hosting the 2020 Spring National Meeting in Omaha, NE! Omaha is home to the world-renown Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, the College World Series, and even the Ruben Sandwich! Check out these FUN FACTS and come experience all that Omaha has to offer!


April 21 – 24, SFOF state leaders and friends will gather for three days of discussion on the critical issues facing the states and nation. SFOF national meetings attract state treasurers, state auditors, state government staff, non-profit leaders, policy analysts, legislators, and friends from the private sector. At SFOF meetings, state leaders share their knowledge and experiences with each other, and hear from national leaders and renowned policy experts who share their commitment to free market policies.

Important Dates


Early-bird registration will open October 1, 2019 and rates will end on March 20, 2020. 

Our Hotel Room Block will close on March 24, 2020

(Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out).

On-site registration rates will begin on March 21, 2020.

Online registration closes April 18, 2020.

Guest / Spouse Registration


Guest / Spouse registration is meant to accommodate legal spouses and immediate family members ONLY. No exceptions will be made. Guest / Spouse designation will be clearly visible on name badge. Spouse registration for the 2020 Spring National Meeting does include ONE pass to the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium.


Registration Process and Payment Methods


Conference registration for the meeting will not be confirmed until the registration process has been completed and the payment has been received and processed. In accordance with our policies, we review all registrations. This review policy ensures registrants have selected the most appropriate registration option. You will receive notification of registration status. Payment amount may be adjusted to reflect the correct registration type and fees associated.


The State Financial Officers Foundation (SFOF) cannot be responsible for your spam filters blocking your confirmation email. Please check for a confirmation email before committing to travel arrangements. 


Travel and accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. Non-government attendees are responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements. The SFOF group rate is $179/night (plus tax and fees). Click here to make a reservation. The group rate ends Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.


Cancellation / Refund Policy


Registrations cancelled prior to 11:59 PM EST March 20, 2020 are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. Registrations are non-refundable after 11:59 PM EST March 20, 2020.


To cancel, or if you have any questions on payment credits or substituting your registration email Melanie Kreifels. A refund will automatically be issued based on the policy above. Please allow 2-7 business days to process depending on the respective bank. Registration substitutions will not be allowed once the attendee has checked in to the event. Registrations cannot be shared.

SFOF accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property at the 2020 Spring National Meeting.


Civility Policy


SFOF is a forum for stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop real, state-based solutions to encourage growth, preserve economic security and protect hardworking taxpayers. SFOF members understand the importance of hearing from all sides of an issue and value public-private partnership in policy discussions. In order to foster an environment where all sides can be heard, you must speak in a civil manner when presenting at SFOF meetings.

All SFOF state officials and staff must book their room by mailing Melanie@statefinancialofficers.com. All government officials are eligible for three nights beginning on Tuesday, April 21st, checking out on Friday, April 24th.
